Oh my goodness, with the not writing.
One day in July I made a list of goals. On the list was something like "write every day for three months". Oh, so foolish was I, in my youth!
I have recently discovered a number of bruises of unknown origin. There is one on my foot that I am not entirely sure is a bruise. It doesn't hurt and it doesn't change or fade. I think it may be cancer, or some kind of invading parasite.
I won a contest today! Granted, I was one of four entrants. I refuse to rain on my own parade, though, because I have never won anything before. I won a set of Skullcandy Smokin Buds from the Simply Mac store. It's exciting and makes August all the better.
Other things that have made August a great month: I. Moving to Salt Lake County. II. (500) Days of Summer. III. Hall and Oates. IV. Drinking wine with friends I hadn't seen in about six years. V. Listening to music created by old friends. VI. Serendipity. VII. Working a job that consistently fails to suck. VIII. A crush on a man.
And so on it goes. Things I've Learned This Month(According to Twitter):
David Cross will be performing in Salt Lake in September
Ginger-lime and cilantro-lime dressings are delicious
Someday I must visit the world's second-largest aquarium
I also learned other, less-important things, like that meteor showers are not nearly as cool if you are in direct view of the ridiculously-bright moon. Damn you, moon. Also, I learned that things shouldn't end unhappily.
